3820 printer responds to the computer by printing a test page, but will not respond to word.

Using 3820 Deskjet, installed by disk on Windows Vista. Computer says correctly installed, will print test page but will not communicate with Word. It's the only HP (of three) that's working. Two newer models just blink.

Are you having problem only with printing from Word or you cannot print anything from the computer? Try printing something from notepad and see...
