Dear All,
I have newly bought a HP Deskjet F4288 All in One printer. While the printer is working perfectly fine, and the colour prints are great on normal paper, I have faced an issue when printing on Photo paper. While other colours stick on to the paper, the black colour is smudging. I have not been able to figure out how to rectify this issue. Can anybody help me out on this? Should I put something (like a fixer) on the photo paper once the print out is obtained? Please help!!!!
Regards

Are you selecting the proper paper type in the driver settings? The pigmented black ink is not compatible with photo paper and will not be used when photo paper is selected in the driver.

If you are printing with the proper paper type settings then this should not be necessary. If you are printing on glossy media with plain paper settings then the incompatible pigmented black will be used and the results will be poor no matter what you spray after printing....
