If you face an issue where, when printing a multi-page document from a Windows Vista computer, then prints shoots out blank pages between each and every printed page. In that case, please try the following steps and see if it resolves the issue.

1. Go to the Printers folder and right click on the printer icon, then select ‘Run as Administrator’, and select ‘Properties’.
2. Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab, and click on the ‘New Driver’ button.
3. When you have to select the printer driver, look under the ‘Manufacturers’ list and select ‘Hewlett-Packard’ instead of ‘HP’, and then select the appropriate printer driver, i.e. the HP Photosmart C7200.
4. Complete the wizard, then apply the settings by pressing the ‘Apply’ button. Try printing again, and the issue should not reoccur.

The reason why this happens is because the printer driver selected would be the pre-installed printer driver that comes along with Windows Vista. If you notice the name of the Vista printer driver, it will be incorrect. For ex., for the Photosmart C7200 printer, the driver name is ‘Photosmart 7200 series’. This is a good way to identify if the printer driver is the Vista driver or the HP driver, though it won’t always be this way.

I am having the same problem printing to the my C7280 (set up as a wireless printer) from my wife's PC, which runs 64 bit VISTA. I have tried the fix discussed below and elsewhere on this forum and they do not fix the problem, i.e. I open the printers section, select the C7200 series, select run as admin, go to properties and select new driver. In my list there is only a selection for HP and selecting HP Photosmart C7200 from the list that comes up does not change anything. I finish the wizard, but the Apply button is greyed out.

I have also tried deleting and reinstalling the printer per the You Tube video on this same subjct to no avail. I am able to print to the printer without this issue from my VISTA 32 bit machine. Any futher suggestions would be appreciated. Note - I can

Does the driver name say Photosmart 7200 or the Photosmart C7200 under the HP drivers' list?

My 7280 copies fine, just fees extra pages when printing from the computer.  Tried the solution, but the list of drivers just says HP PHotosmart 7200

The printer is printing blank pages cos Vista is assigning the Photosmart 7200 drivers for the Photosmart C7200 printer(they are 2 different printers). So you'll need to install the PS C7280 drivers from the Cd or the downloaded file, and it should work.

In my first post, when you come to Step 3, the click on Have Disk, then point to the installation CD and it should find the PS C7200 driver.
