Broke something, DJ F4480 thinks cover is always open

Hi, I was trying to open up my printer (desktop F4480) and as a result, something inside snapped, a peice of plastic. Now even though the ink cover door is closed, the printer thinks its still open. I will attach a photo of what broke.. Anyone know how I can tell my printer the cover is closed without this piece? Needless to say, I never got the top off, after I heard the snap, I stopped.

finally figured out where the part goes, its attached to the top cover and it opens and closes the cover sensor.. now gotta figure out how to gerryrig it, or find a replacement part. C26 is the part # stamped on it

It should be as easy as lodging something in the hole the broken pin entered.

I ended up supergluing 1/2 a toothpick to it, as the part that broke off was similar, and was just holding it in place... It works
