CP1215 Many Printing Problems

Hi there,

I have encountered many problems with my CP1215 since I bought it more than a year ago. It's no exaggeration to say that this is the worst printer I've ever purchased (my earlier brands being Canon and Epson).

In the last few months, I've noticed that printing anything with pictures has become more hit-or-miss.  Very often, after I've sent something to print, nothing happens at all.  When I check the printer status, it'll be 'printing' for ages, then 'error' -- and deleting the job takes another eternity.

Photos are also very dark.  While I don't expect top quality from a color laser, the CP1215's is nowhere near acceptable.

I searched this forum before posting this but note that most CP1215-related queries have gone unanswered (e.g. a query on dark photos).

Is HP not willing to help?  Or is the silence a tacit acknowledgment that this printer is a lemon?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: CP1215 Many Printing Problems

I agree!! My graphics are too dark and HP cant seem to do anything about it. I bought this printer to print flyers and brochures and it is useless because the graphics have no detail. This is the only printer I have ever owned that does not have a draft mode. I think a dtaft mode would deposit less ink on the paper and maybe solve the problem. Mean while the printer is useless except for B&W text
