Hi there mjgeib,

Lets try this: click the start button and navigate to printers and devices - within this windows right click you printer and select printing preferences - In the preferences window click the advanced button in the bottom right corner of the window - now find the print in grayscale drop down and choose the black ink only choice. This should set you up.
