Can't print anymore on both sides of paper on my LaserJet P2015d

Hi,

I suffered the Blue Screen of Death yesterday.. Affter the computer  was restored to the day I first bought it,  I was unable to print on both sides of the paper.  I then downloaded the latest Universal  printer driver from the HP site, but  I still couldn't find any setting that would select automatically (not manually) print on both sides (automatic duplex printing).

Any help from a kindly soul would be greatly appreciated.

Re: I suffered the Blue Screen of Death yesterday, after I recovered I was unable to print on both s

I had the same issue - you're not the only one. HP should do a major recall because online forums are full of people getting the same crashes as you. Nothing worked for me. Talking to technical support for hours was useless - even though I had warranty, they made me disassemble the whole computer and asked me to check each component - that's why it took hours - in the end with no result. The computer kept on crashing.

In the past I've had 2 HP printers - one seven years ago, the other four years ago - both of them were a disaster. My brand-new HP computer worked for two months and then kicked the bucket. My advice to everyone is to avoid HP products. Their stock price is falling for a reason.

Re: Can't print anymore on both sides of paper on my LaserJet P2015d

Hi,

As you seem to be able to print single sides most likely the double sided option is turned off.

For Windows 7 : Go to the control panel and find Devices and Printers, FInd the icon of your printer and rightclick it. Choose printing prefferances and find the tab "advanced or device settings". Can be either of the names but the screen should look sometrhing like the example below. Note the duplex function is not in the example as the printer i am using has no duplex option.

On this page find the 2sided or Duplex option and make sure it is set to enabled. After that click ok and try printing double sided again.
