D110a Won't Print Alignment Page

I just installed a new color cartridge for my HP D110a Printer but the alignment page will not print like it should.  The red X on the printer lights up and the screen says "now printing alignment page..." but nothing happens.  I know it's not a hardware problem because I can still print from the Internet, but the color on those printouts is very inaccurate and looks completely washed over.

 

Does anyone know what could be causing this?  I have tried all the troubleshooting that involves powering off the device and checking for paper jams, but that doesn't seem to be the issue.

The same thing happened to me on my HP D110 series, just replaced my color cartridge and it wont print the alignment page with it stating it is printing, but it did not. I turned it off and replaced all cartridges again. Whats up?
