D1660 Printer

I had to reconfigure my hard drive and start from scratch and now I cannot get my D1660 printer to install.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled the software both from the CD and the HP website.  It loads but when it is time to plug in the USB cable it is not recognized. (Tried 3 different USB cables and all of them aren't recognized) Would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks
