I have been trying to fix this "problem" for a while now. There is nothing jammed in the printer, I have put in new paper, taken out and put back in the ink, taken the back off and put back on and powered down numerous times. I have downloaded the "diagnoses" thing and it says everything is working fine......It obviously isn't if I can't  print.

Power button is on, but the yellow arrow light is blinking.

ANYONE have suggestions?

Thanks!

I just had this problem too.  An answer on another forum suggested holding down the power button while pressing the arrow button 10 times and then releasing both buttons.  This started a test print so I knew the printer was still working.  Unfortunately, the blinking arrow light did not stop.  Next I opened the cover, removed the black ink cartridge and closed the cover.  The light stopped blinking.  I cleaned the electrical contacts on the cartridge and blotted the bottom with a paper towel to verify that ink was flowing.  I put the cartridge back in and the blinking light came back on.  Put in a new black cartridge and the light stopped blinking so the problem was the black cartridge.  This was an Office Max 98 cartridge.  Thought I'd try it to save a few bucks, but I never had this happen with an HP cartridge so I guess I'll go back to HPs.
