Dark or light adjustment

I have an HP Photosmart C4780 printer. My computer is a HP Desktop Pavilion p6630f, windows 7, 64 bit. I cannot find out how the adjustment to make my copies lighter or darker. Thank you in advance.

Hi Mac48,

Have you tried to go to the printer preferece to adjust the print quality - Draft, Normal or Best? If this helped?

Step: Control Panel >> Hardware and Sound >> Devices and Printers >> Printing Prefernce >> Print Quality

Thanks for your reply. This did not help me, because i am not looking to change colors that print out. On my last printer, i used to go to the tool box or settings, and just slide the bar to darken a little. After i made that copy, i would return the bar back to the middle. I can't seem to do this from the tool box or the settings on this printer.
