FAX Error Message

I have an HP All-in-One L7780 and got a FAX Errir 388.  Where can I look up the meaning of FAX error messages?

This should be useful for you. It has the 3 digit error codes for both send and recieve errors during faxing.

Try running the Fax test. Press setup > Tool> Run Fax test.

This will give you instructions about what you need to check and what you need to do if it failed on some of the tests.

Then try to send a fax to the fax server. Good luck!

I get fax error message OX88161:h2bllln When I try to run fax test, I get another error message. O have turned off and on machine several times. Nothing works
