False error for Paper jam with a HP Officejet J6540 All-in-one printer

I have an error that says I have a paper jam.  There is no paper jam as I have checked all the places indicated by hp.  I have tried the reset # 3 and even removed the paper from the paper tray and all other recommendations hp says to do for a paper jam on there website.  Still it comes up with a paper jam flashing light error and says Paper Jam!  I even have turned the machine off and let it sent for 30-45 minutes to see if the brain is the problem and will reset.  But with no results.  Has anyone had this problem or know how to get this machine back online?  All responses I want to thank in advance!  Please help! I am in the middle of faxing docs.

Thanks!!!!!

Wade

Re: False error for Paper jam with a HP Officejet J6540 All-in-one printer

Thanks but I already did all that and more.  I throw the machine away and had to buy another as I couldn't wait.  I wish that HP would do a better job on their help pages and support.  And their upgrades are not very user friendly.  They need to rethink their hold support system.  But thank you for the suggestion anyhow.
