Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

I've seen this issue myself about a year ago.  The problem was definately when trying to print PDFs and/or Postscript files.  We "fixed" it by installing a much older version of the printer drivers (perhaps even a previous model's version in one case); however, I do not recall which ones we'd used.  I think we mostly had HP OfficeJets...

I hope that helps...

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

Unfortunately that didn't work for either of our printers, a NEW Officejet Pro 8000 or an older Officejet Pro K5400.

Before I ever buy another HP...........they have to get this problem corrected.  A co-worker uses a cheap EPSON and

doesn't have any problem.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

Unfortunately nothing we have tried has worked.  And, it's such a shame........I had loved HP printers.  But when a co-worker doesn't have the problem with a cheap Epson..........well, guess we will save money next time and switch.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

I uninstalled the Adobe PDF driver with Revo, installed the latest version and the problem is gone on my wife's system.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

Haven't tried that yet, but did download the recent Adobe Reader update.....so far no problems today.  Will have to see if they pop up again.  Sure do hope not.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

When printing a PDF:

Select Print.

In Print box select Advanced. (S/B in lower left hand corner).

In Advanced Print Setup box make sure the Print as image box has a checkmark in it.

Click OK.

Click OK and printing will start.

Have a nice day.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

I will try this remedy.........it's been frustrating, sometimes printing is fine..........other times not.  It's very hit 'n miss.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

Recently started having the same problem with my HP Deskjet F2179. Only happens when trying to print PDF files. I have to print one page at a time, wait for each page to print correctly before trying to print the next one. This is extremely frustrating, time consuming and wasteful of paper and ink as it may take two or three prints to get one page to print. I'm sick of it.

Re: Garbled Printing (Multiple model types)

Sorry to put it this way...........BUT HP SUCKS...................Printing problems, horrible copies, horrible faxing......

now I needed to print some pictures from my XD card and am being told that I'm not able to use this printer for doing it.  I checked with HP Pre-sales before buying this printer (actually have three of the **bleep** things)....... but am being told that the front of the printer say HP Officejet Pro 8500A but the FPU on the back indicates that it doesn't have the "necessary slots" that a different FPU number would have...................AND, you can't open the boxes or check that BEFORE it's set up.  Then you are screwed...........

DON'T DEAL WITH HP....................................................
