Using an HPC7280 all-in-one
When attempting to print I'm getting an error which says "Black Cartridge Empty
-- Install new black cartridge if available.
To continue with other colors press Continue. Black Color will be simulated. Text and photo quality will differ from those printed when using all cartridges.
If empty cartridge isn't replaced soon all printing will stop..."
My cartridge is a brand new HP black cartridge. When it first appeared I went out and bought a new cartridge and it continued to appear, and when I took the first one out realized the original cartridge was still also full. The Ink level display on the screen shows that the cartridge is full.
I've tried replacing the cartridge, cleaning the metal scan part, shutting off the printer, disconnecting the printer etc...
It definitely appears to be creating black from a mixture of the other colors which is a big problem because I use my printer to create heat press designs for sports uniforms. ALso probably a big waste of ink.
Hopefully someone can help.

Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached.
To reattach the cartridge check the following steps :
- Turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head.
- Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report.
- Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.
