HP 2170 Encoder Strip

the encoder strip came off the printer

any tips on how to reattach, what I should watch out for or use?

 

the strip is not broked or cracked

 

printer still scans, but can't print until this is piece is put back on.

 

problem is reaching into the machine to reattach it.

 

hate to toss this printer, worked well - what a shame it would be because it costs more to have someone with the right tool do the job in a couple of minutes than buy a new printer

 

not to mention all the ink I just bought for it

 

any help is appraciated
