HP 4500 all wireless ; Fax to PC still will print to fax too!

Help! 

I have set the Printer and computer to FAX To PC. It does save it in my DOC files, except it will still print an actual copy on the printer at the same time. I do not want it to print the faxes. How can i get it to only save to me DOC Folder on my computer. Nothing in basic fax settings or other, I checked... any clues???

Hi,

From the printer fron panel, click the Setup button.

Click the right arrow till Basic Fax Settings appear on the screen, then click OK.

Click the right arrow to Fax to PC, then click OK..

Click the right arrow twice till Disable Fax Print appear and click ok.

Change the value and click OK. the incoming faxes will no longer be printed.

Click the Cancel button several times till the date and time appears.

The HP all in one Wireless 4500 has different settings then what you have listed below.  it had the Tools then to by pass Basic Fax to get to Fax Setting where the Fax to PC option is. I say OK there and it shows my computer name as Host.. From there if i hit the right arrow twice, it turns off the FaX to PC. Cant disable the print without hitting the Fax to PC off...making me nuts! lol I keep having to turn it back on. 

Any help with that? Thanks!

Hi Shawn.

I apologize for the confusion.

After reaching the Fax to PC Settings, click OK.

There you should see 3 different options (the order may be different has the printer firmware been updated lately):

• Turn Off
• View Hostname
• Fax Print (Or Disable Fax Print, I am not sure about the exact term)

Enter the Fax Print option by clicking OK, then set the opposite value than the existing one

I followed your guidelines yet on my printer display I still have Fax to PC not set up after runing wizard and setting

up folder to store faxes trough HP solution Center.
