HP C5180 all in one "ink system failure" error message "oxc 18a0201"

This printer is about 4yrs old. Had this problem before, but my brother -in-law fixed it. I don't know what he did. This time I went to the HP support site. Clicked on "community support". Clicked on a description of my problem, (not the exact code error) but close. It was posted on 8/9 2010. At the top its says "Re: HP Photosmart  5180-"Ink system failure". It gives directions - 1 thru 13. I know this won't work for everyone, but it worked for my problem. I'm grateful for this forum, especially for people like me who arn't the greatest at solving printer problems.
