Hello, I was wonder if anyone had any suggestions for two issues we are experiencing with HP LaserJet 4350N printers:
We have one HP Laserjet 4350N printer that is hooked up via USB, with PCL6 drivers, using the winprint RAW printer processor, and continually has a delay on any type of documens printed. This can be a PDF file, a Word document file, even just single pages, and there is always a 20-30+ seconds delay before the print job starts. The usb cable has been switched out. Putting the printer on the network is not an option at this time. User has Windows XP SP3 Professional. Once the job starts, everything prints out fine, but there is constantly a delay. On other 4350 printers of this series that we have, the print job starts in about 5 seconds.
I also have another HP Laserjet 4350N printer that sporadically (and quite often, but not on every print job), prints out random characters and many blank pages usually wasting atleast 20 pages of paper. When the user tries to a print a document, not matter the file type, it has many blank copies following by the first page that has unusual characters ( consisting of hearts, smiley faces, spade, blocks, etc.) You try to stop the print job and click cancel, but the printer displays that there is no message to cancel, however the printer continues to print out these erraneous pages of either blank or odd characters. Turning off the printer and back on does not seem to help. This computer is also usuing the Winprint Rar printer processor. Windows XP SP3 Professional. There does not seem to be an issue with speed, but this issue with printing these erraneous characters and not the legitimate file (word, pdf, etc.) is quite odd.
Any suggestions for these two issues are greatly appreciated!
