HP OfficeJet J6480 Printing Alignment [ Edited ]

Suddenly my OfficeJet 6480 has started printing and copying misaligned.  Meaning when I copy and print, the text on the page is coming out crooked.  I tried calling customer care but I have difficulty dealing with the language barrier for support (I can barely understand what they are saying and asking).  It's like the unit is pulling the paper through crooked.   Also, I get a message that the correct paper type is not in my unit...

Has anyone experienced this and what did they do to fix it???

I am having the same issue. 

I have tried the alignment function, but nothing.

Took the cartridges out and plut them back in.

I can't find anything.

I have found the problem.

The duplex unit on the back, was mis-aligned.  I pulled it out and reinserted it making sure it was lined up properly.

I have a similar problem wiyh my Officejet 6480 inkjet printer.

Every time I turn it on, I get a page alignment error. I have not changed either cartridge or added paper.

I have had this problem for some time. In the past, I have had to download/reinstall software to fix problem.

My computer is an HP Pavilion a4310f desktop, 3.0Ghz, 4GB RAM, 640GB HD.

Once I 'button' through the OK/cancel options, printer finctions very well.

Must I buy a new printer? Is this difficulty caused by my HP computer?

Any advice would be appreciated. No answers so far on previous posts regarding this problem.

It would appear, judging from the lack of response, that there is no answer to this problem other than downloading the software repeatedly.

This is obviously an HP software defect. The lack of response confirms that.

the problem has disappeared, probably from an automatic update from hp or microsoft.

I did what one guy suggested,,,pull out the duplxer and shove it back in..corrected the crooked print right away
