HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A printer w intermitant spool error

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A printer w intermitant spool error that hangs my doc.  When I open and close my ink cart door, the hung doc then prints everytime.  Any ideas?  I've been using refilled ink cartridges successfully for months w no probs.

Hi - You might try setting it to print directly to printer:

Click Start, Devices and Printers, right click on the C6350 and choose Printer Properties.  From there, click the Advanced tab and choose "Print directly to the printer".  Click Apply and OK.  From there try printing again.

While re-filled cartridges can cause a variety of issues, I've never seen them cause an issue like this, but if all else fails, it might be worth trying some genuine HP cartridges.

My mistake.  Right click on the OfficeJet Pro 8500A and you should see the options I mentioned previously.  Sorry about the confusion.

ok... but don;t see advanced option under properties

Typically there are two options Printer Properties and Properties.  Make sure you're selecting Printer Properties and there should be an Advanced Tab.  If you still don't see it, I'd recommend trying some HP printer cartridges.

What's the impact to switching to "print directly to printer" and not using spooler??

Typically it just means that it may take a few seconds longer for your computer to be freed up when you send something to print.  I'm guessing you likely wouldn't even notice a difference.
