HP Officejet J5780 Printing one half of line of text

My Officejet 5780 randomly prints only one half of text lines (the top half).  This happens with Microsoft Word Files, PDF files, etc.  Any solutions?

I've got the same problem. However it seems to be involved with using copy/paste in a Word doc. My printer clips the preceding line... Know this isn't a siolution but it may be a clue to the problem source...
