HP Officejet Pro L7590, can't print legal size

I am trying to print legal size documents from Open Office (can't) and from GIMP, (can't) on my MacBook Pro, OSx (10.6). I have changed page format to legal, changed default page size for printer to legal, changed page setup everywhere I can find a place to change it, and still, it will only print letter size. What is going on? (Open Office 3.21, GIMP 2.6). I have reinstalled printer driver twice, and all updates that I can find.

Re: HP Officejet Pro L7590, can't print legal size

Hey there. Have you changed the destination paper size to legal inside the paper handling menu? Here is what I mean:

1. Open Printer menu

2. Select the Paper Handling option

3. Check Scale to fit paper size, also use the drop down "Destination Paper Size" to choose legal.

Let me know if this helps at all :robotvery-happy:

Re: HP Officejet Pro L7590, can't print legal size

I'm having the same issue with my HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911n and I have changed those settings and it still prints on tray 1 letter.  My tray 2 is set to legal and I have no tray block set.  Can you help with this?  I frequently have to print mixed documents on my mac as well as my windows PC and I can't on either one.

No one available to answer this?

I also have issues when printing from my Mac with the print area.  I have loaded the software and the drivers from the disc.  I really am considering returning this printer and not buying another HP product.

I can't believe a printer can't tell the difference in paper sizes...
