MY HP PHOTOSMART C4780 ISN'T RECOGNISED WHEN I CONNECT THE USB CABLE SINCE I HAD A POWER CUT. I'VE USED A DIFFERENT PC AND USB CABLE. IT'S DEFFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH MY PRINTER.

Does the printer turn on properly?  Can you still make copies?  Resetting the printer by unplugging the power and USB cable for 60 seconds or so may help.  If not your printer may require service unless you can use a network connection rather than USB.
