HP Photosmart 5510 e-All-in-One Printer; Windows Vista; Custom Print Paper Size

Why can I not set a custom Page Size for the Printer above when I am using Microsoft Publisher. I can set the proper page size for the publication but I cannot set a matching paper size for the printer.  Please Help
