HP3800dn print quality - streaks in images

I have an HP 3800dn color laser printer, I just started noticing that at times there are streaks in the color images that are being printed. The streaks are slightly different coloration from the remainder of the image.

 

I have only used HP cartridges so it is not a matter of a cheap OEM cartridge. The printer is a few years old and has had been used for a large number of prints.

 

Any thoughts on what might need to be cleaned/replaced to clear up this condition?
