Ever since I changed the cartridge in my all-in-one, it prints the test sheet whenever I turn it on. I tried unplugging it and reinstalling the software, but it still keeps on wasting paper and ink.

The page that is printing is the alignment page. As described in your manual (page 33) you need to load the paper on the scanner glass and press "scan" after the page prints to complete the alignment. Until the alignment completes the printer will print an alignment page when the printer is turned on. Once you have completed the alignment it will not print another alignment page until you again change the cartridges.

Thank you for your quick response.
I followed the instructions on p. 33 for the alignment, the printer/scanner showed the alignment on the desktop & printed another alignment page. I turned off the machine, but when I turned it on again it printed another copy of the alignment page. I then followed the directions on p. 33 on alignment for Macintosh. (I have an eMac.) Again, the image appeared on the desktop, the alignment was completed & I turned off the machine. When I turned it on, once again it printed that blasted alignment page. Is there any hope for me, or should I just keep the printer/scanner on?

This may sound basic, but does it say that the alignment was successful?

I don't think it can be stopped. I have the same problem and have rescanned several times.
