How do I print emails and webpages only in black? I don't want to print in color.

HP Officejet 8500A Plus, Windows 7 64 bit.

How do I STOP the All-in-one from printing in color when printing emails or web pages?

Re: How do I print emails and webpages only in black? I don't want to print in color.

I do not know about the 8600, but on the Hp Officejet 5510 it's in the Print - Properties- Color tab. Or on the Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Printer Click on your printer name - Click on Select Printing Preferences - Click on Color tab - Check Print in Gray Tone or Black Only. I keep mine set on Gray Tone and only change it for color.

Hope this helps

Re: How do I print emails and webpages only in black? I don't want to print in color.

I have a PSC 1315xi, and I also want to print everything in black only: banners, graphics, colored text, everything.  I have gone to Printing Preferences>color tab and checked the box for "print in grayscale."  Below that I clicked on the "bubble" next to "print in black-only grayscale."  I also went to Printing Preferences>Advanced tab:  under Document Options, "Advanced printing features" are "enabled";  under Printer Features, "Print All text as black" is "enabled."

Even so, colored text  in a document does not print in color, in fact it does not print at all.  There is a blank space where any colored text, or graphic color appears in the file.

Any suggestions?
