I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8500A and Print Artist version 23. I use the software and design the business cards, pick A4 (which is an Avery product 8571) and then print. The end result is the printer prints about 1/4 of an inch off of the preferated marks to the left. The alignment is off and I have ruined sheets of preferated business cards. I'm using regular paper now just to see if I can fix the problem but after exhausting every possibility including choosing A5 and the setting for 2x3.50 business cards on the software, the printer still refuses to do anything but print to far to the left.
Any suggestions?

I figured it out after hours of changing settings in the Print Artist program. The setting has to be on clean cut cards istead of A4 like Avery says.

Interesting- and congrats to you.
Most people are not using the Print Artist program for designing and printing business cards though. We had problems with trying to print business cards designed in MS Word 2003. Didn't matter what printer settings we chose, the business card sheets would not print - plain paper would print , five sheets of plain paper taped together would print, glossy and matte photo paper would print- but never would avery or other brand business card sheets pull in and then print correct. We even tried pushing the business card sheet stock in or pulling it down from inside and it would not work.
