Ink for Photosmart C5283

Hi, I need ink for my C5283 All-In-One that I bought in Europe.  The problem is that this model is officially not sold in the US, and thus the ink 140XL & 141XL are not available here.  Does anybody know if the ink for the C5280 - which looks like my machine (74XL & 75 XL) would be compatible for my printer?

Thanks

Re: Ink for Photosmart C5283

though the C5283 and the C5280 beloing to the same printer series and are excatly the same, your printer has been configured to accpet cartridges only sold in Europe. The printer can be reset to accept cartridges from the US, but Tech Support is the ONLY one that can help you get this done. so contact tech support at 1-800-474-6836, and tell them you want to change the regionalization of this printer to accept US cartridges.

Re: Ink for Photosmart C5283

I had the same issue, moved t europe, have 2 inkjet printers. contacted hp and at first they told me they could do nothing.after spending some time searching the web I came across regionalization.

contacted support again (over 20 call, 10 hours on the phone), got the code, the HP agent was surprised when it did not worked, and suggested me to buy a new printer.

Isn't HP great?
