J6480 LCD has bad pixels?

A few weeks ago, I noticed that my J6480 has several lines of pixels on the display that are not functioning. It seems to be happening on the first line of the 2 line display. So picture how on standby it shows the date/time and then picture that someone dragged an eraser across from left to right on a few rows. I tried turning the printer off and on and also turning it off over night. However, I have not been able to bring these pixels back to life. Any suggestions or experiences with this kid of problem?
