This printer is an exchange for an HP 6500 that I could not connect wirelessly. This printer works, BUT it sounds an alarm and displays "Original Loaded" even through there is no paper loaded. This happened again last night at 2AM and woke the whole family up.
I have opened the very top loading area and have insured that there is no paper or other debris there.
I have also loaded the latest updates.
Any ideas?
Is this a hardware issue that needs to be exchanged again.
No, my house is not haunted, unless it comes with ghosts in the machine! LOL.
It seems we are 0 for 2 so far.
Any ideas?

check for any debris or foreign object inside the ADF.. make sure ADF is totally close.. then try partial reset..
