My Officejet Pro 8500 stops while printing.

Officejet Pro 8500 A909a is slow starting to print. After it starts printing it will stop for about two moments and then finish.

Using windows XP. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Is the printer connected by USB or through network?

It's the main computer. It's connected by USB.

Pleasetry switching to another USB port of the PC.

Make sure the bable is not longer than 2-3 m length and not through any USB hub or extension.

Try printing and check for any change.

If the paper starts printing and stuck again, unplug the USB from the back of the printer.

Can you see the paper moves immediately than?

If so, it seems as the USB cable is faulty and need to be replaced.

I have a officejet pro L7680 connected over the home network and its doing the same thing. printing will start, then pause for a few moments in the middle and then continue. Any ideas.

I changed out my cable and it didn't resolve the issue.  The printer takes a few minutes to begin and when it does it stops in the middle of the page for at least another couple minutes--sometimes it sits for as long as 10 minutes before completing the print job.  HELP!  I use windows vista.

This solution did NOT work.  I used different USB ports, bought a new cable, and I still have the same problem.  It takes several minutes to get anything printed.  Any other suggestions?
