Hello:
I have installed the HP OfficeJet 7500A on to a PC with Windows XP sp3.
I have followed the instructions to create a custom size form, but when I go to print my photo (12" X 28") the newly created custom form size is not displayed as an option. I noticed my newly created form size of 11"X17" does appear.
How may I print my photos that are above 13"X19"? The printer is capable of printing up to 44" long.
I appreciate your assistance,
Shawn

You need to read furthur into this thread. The drivers for the 7500A will not allow you to create custom page sizes. You will need install and use the drivers for the officejet 7000 to create custom page sizes on your 7500A.

Well, the 7500a might print custom sizes if one can convert from points to inches.
I purchased in order to print 9x12 or 10x13 mailing envelopes.... Otherwise, I am hesitant to download driver for an HP 7000 wide format printer.
Any ideas?

Bob
Your workaround for 7500a printer using custom sizes was helpful. (have yet to download just the basic print driver for 7000 ) but in custom size one could convert points to inches. Presumably that would work if I knew how to convert to inches.
I, too, purchased the wide format 7500a only because I needed to print out 9 x 12 and 10 x 13 envelopes for mailing.
Perhaps, the engineers can jump on this and refresh the software to include either more sizes or the ability to deal with inches.. ie.. that is what most paper products are designated. ( I did of course, convert all the MM and CM to inches but there was nothing close to what I need.
any help is appreciated.......... as I hesitate to download another printers print driver.

The conversion is 72 points = 1 inch. I have uninstalled the 7500 driver so I cannot check easily, but most of the drivers have the capability to set the units to points, cm or inches....

While it is nice that loading the 7000 drivers will fix this problem what happens to the scanner in this option. I am only hooked up with the USB.

Hello. I am just trying to get my 7500a to work for 12x18 at my office, but I do not have any regular xp machines. Is there any way to get the 7000 driver to work on server 2003 (32 bit) or a windows7 machine (whichever is easier)? Or is there any other work around for either of these 2 operating systems?

While using the 7000 drivers will help you to print custom page sizes, you should still also install the printer regularly using it's intended 7500a drivers. In the end, the computer will show two different printers: HP 7500a and HP 7000. Choose the HP 7000 when you want to print custom page sizes otherwise use the 7500a driver. You should be able to use the scanner using the 7500a drivers and software that comes with it.

I tried using the same work around on my wife's windows 7 computer, and it worked. I used the same process as I did with my windows XP computer to download and install the driver's for the HP 7000 and was able to print custom page sizes using those drivers. Hope it works for you too!

I have the HP 7500 E910a...
It will print up to 13x19, but I cannot, for the life of me, get it to print on 12x18 Arch B Sheets. I have created a new print server form, (many times), to no avail.
Oddly enough, I noticed that C and D size sheets are already predefined by Windows 7, but also do not show up in the "Paper Size" drop down list in printing preferences.
I gather that these are not listed because the printer driver does not support it.
However, 12 x 18 is less than the greatest paper size the printer can print, so why doesn't the printer allow us to select this form size, (Arch B).
If you have any thoughts, please let me know. Should I also be using an HP 7000 driver for windows 7 x 64? Thanks!
