Officejet K60 - can I use JUST as a fax?

I recently got an Officejet K60 that I only want to use as a fax machine. Do I have to hook it up to my computer, or will it perform only as a fax machine? I can't find this in the manual and don't want to spend money on ink if it's not going to work the way I want it to. Thank you!

The k60 should function just fine as a standalone fax machine. Let us know if you have any problems.
