Officejett6310

Get Carriage Jam issue. Have done all trouble shooting steps and still have problems printing after one time or two.  this has been going on for two weeks.  Any ideas on another fix other than what is in the HP support base?

Re: Officejett6310

Since you said that you have followed all the troubleshooting steps as desribed in the hp web document and still the issue persists the issue is with the hardware of the All-in-One printer, I recommend you to contact HP Support for further assistance.

Re: Officejett6310

I am having the same problem.  Whatever you do, don't talk to the HP "live"on-line technical help; all they are going to do is ask you a bunch of questions and refer you to the link on their website to troubleshoot.   I still have not cleared out the "paper jam" message (and there is no paper jam at all!!).   My lost resort is to take it in to the Geek Squad in Best Buy who is one of HP's partners.  I hope you get it fixed soon.  I will keep looking thru these postings for possible solutions.  Good luck!

Re: Officejett6310

I did get an online chat and followed all the instructions.  Cleared the problem for 1 day.  Will take printer in to Best Buy but in the mean time am using a spare Epson printer which has no problems.

Re: Officejett6310

I have a Pro L7680 All in One and am having the same problem -- Paper Jam message despite no real jam.  Powered down, unplugged, restarted...same message.  Arrrgh.  Anyone find anything else to try?  Geek Squad response?  That was my next step, too.  But quite inconvenient and the printer's only 3 months old!!

Re: Officejett6310

Don't feel bad; mine is only 2 months old!
I did get a nice detailed email from the HP Support detailing the reset steps as well as the powering down and cleaning the cartridges, blah, blah, blah, still have the same paper jam issue.  I am giving up for today; don't have the patience for it.  Their final recommendation was to give them my credit card info and they would authorize me to return it to them for an exchange.  I'm not quite ready to ship it back out to them; I may never see it again!
Good luck.

Re: Officejett6310

Hello Msintl1, your issue seems to be an hardware issue since our technical support determined that the printer needs to be replaced, I recommend you to once again contact our technical support so that they will replace the printer free of cost. Our representatives will call you for the credit card info as the printer is an collateral part and your card will not be charged if you send the defective printer back to HP within 15 days. First we (HP) will ship the replacement printer to you with an prepaid shipping label and then you need to send the defetive printer in the same box back to HP. This is the process which you need to follow for the replacement of the printer.

NOTE: You will also get an manual on what accessories to keep with you and what accessories must be returned to HP. Please follow the manual and then return your defective unit to HP.

Since this is an hardware issue I recommend you to talk to our technical support and if the printer is still not working then since the printer is IN WARRANTY they will replace the printer.

Re: Paper Jam message -- did anyone try taking it to Best Buy Geek Squad rather than mess with the ship-back process? How long are these under factory warrantee? We purchased our L7680 in August of this year.

Re: Officejett6310

standard warranty is for 1 year from the date you purchase it. i do suggest you contact PHONE SUPPORT and mention all the steps that you did so that the agents can skip that and do what's left before replacing the printer.
