Paper jam, on switch

Hi, I'm having 2 problems with my printer.

 1. It says it's jammed, but it is not.  I took everything out following all instructions, several times.

 2.  the message comes on that I can cause damage by not pressing the off button. I always press the button. Help!  I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-one A910a

I unortunately have the same issue which is driving me insane, I have tried the resets, but nothing seems to work.

 

Can a member of the HP team add more advice, as thier are varoius threads with similar problems offer the same solution with very little success, in many instances.

Thankyou, HP informed me that the paper jam is a big problem with this model as I experienced. I got the newer model now with extended warranty trading in the old one
