Photosmart 8250 ink system failure

I just replaced expired cartridges on my rarely-used HP Photosmart 8250 printer with brand new ones, and am now getting an "ink system faliure" message.

I have this problem too! Did you find a way to fix it by now? (seeing how your post was in april)

I have a similar problem Ink System Failure.  Have not used in a long time and very little use on printer.

 

What is the solution?

I am having the same problem with my Photosmart C6180.  Did anyone receive an answer???????????

I don't like to look for answers on forums because I find lots of questions with few, if any, answers.
