Photosmart C6180 will not stay powered on

I am reposting this issue because the original solution I found no longer is working:

My printer, Photosmart C6180, continually turns itself on, stays on for about 30 seconds, seems to lose power, then cycles on again.

I've tried the troubleshooting steps already using different outlets and disconnecting the power for a period of time, but nothing has solved this issue.

Does anyone know if this sounds like a printer problem or could there be something wrong with the power supply?

The printer was working fine just a few days ago, nothing occurred that may have caused any damage that I am aware of.

I found a way to reset the printer by holding down the 6 and # keys, however that only fixed my problem for about a week.  Now, even after doing the reset, my printer still cycles off and on rendering it useless.

I really hope there is a way to fix this.  I was willing to spend the money on this printer assuming it would last longer than 4 years.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find a solution to the problem and ended up just buying a new printer.

Thank you so much for your response.  I tried your original solution with the number 6 and the pound key.  It seems to be working right now.  Thanks again.  Mine wasn't under warranty anymore, hope yours was.

I have the same problem. It seems to happen with a power surge. I just disconnect printer and power un plug and it comes right back good as new.
