Photosmart C8180 Print 4 x 6 photos from computer?

My photosmart C8180 is set up wirelessly and prints well from my computer BUT I am unable to print on the 4x6 photo paper this way.  Even though I set up the preferences to print on 4x6 borderless, it prints on full sheets of paper.  Any ideas?

I am having the EXACT same problem. I have even tried using the "HP Photosmart Essentials" that came with the printer. Mine is also set up wirelessly and also works perfectly except for this issue.  I have it loaded with 4x6 photo paper, AND it's prints perfectly on the 4x6's in DEMO mode and if i print from my iPhone using HP's "iPrint" app for iPhone. I have tried every logical print setting available. PLEASE HELP US!

Hello everyone.  I just wanted to post here that I am having similiar issue w/C6180.  I can print from other programs using the photo tray, but not with photosmart essential.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the complete HP suite a couple of different times, but this particular issue seems to remain.

I get the photo up in PE, select it, ask it to print on the 4X6, make sure to check all the settings so it will print from the phototray, or auto select and nothing.

I get the sending to printer msg, the icon in taskbar saying its printing, yet the printer doesnt budge one little bit.  Hoping to get some insight into this,

Running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit, wireless connection on C6180, I have other photo programs such as Photoshop and Picassa or Windows Live Photo Gallery, they all seem to print as advertised.  There are some features that I like or prefer in PE over the others, it's a shame it has to be so confounding!!!!

i too am having very same problem....in photosmart elements can't print 4X6 borderless...no matter what!

Well I have to post and say I take back what I said in previous post about the printer printing photos from other programs- upon further investigation-revisiting the issue, I still cannot print photos (4x6) from my computer. I can take a memory card to the printer and print directly from that. Still not a happy camper with the HP/Vista software issues.

I'm having the same difficulty (3 yrs later). I can't print 4x6 photos to my printer. I'm able to print 8 1/2 x 11 just fine. was there ever a fix for this problem?

Has this issue ever been resolved?   I am having a similar problem, just trying to print a 6 x 12 paper.   It won't center on that, prints as though it is a 8 1/2 x 12 paper.
