Print preview has recently started working selectively on my Photosmart C7280 Printer

My printer is 3 - 4 years old now and I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium.

 

It would appear that it works when previewing a text or spreadsheet document, but not when trying to print a Windows Live Mail email or an IE9.0 web page. I have installed the HP Bing browser and Smart Print.

 

I've fully reinstalled the software and reset the printer to its factory default condition, but the problem persists.
