Re: Printer Paper Jam

I had the same problem.. my printer is Hp 910 series.. and it's just 2 years old.. Everytime I print a document, it it doesn't print but instead it will just jam the paper.. but after I clean the paper jam and press the button... It will just do the same thing and repeat the paper jam.. I already checked the back of the printer inside the rear access door and I have'nt seen any paper jam.. I also checked if the cartridge carrier if it can move.. and yes it is,,,

..Is there any suggestions that would help me to fix my printer because I badly need it now for printing my projects..?

Re: Printer Paper Jam

Many of these responses are non-responsive, in that suggestions are made here how to CLEAR a paper jam.  Most of us have enough experience to handle that.  This complaint is how to clear the ERROR MESSAGE.  There is no paper inside (at least in my case and as stated by some here).  I've had many replacement HP printers under extended warranties; they never go much past about 7 months, and PAPER HANDLING has always been the cheif complaint.  If I can't get past this paper jam message, I think I'll bail on HP.  Not the performance nor longevity I expected.

Re: Printer Paper Jam

Amen, brother ben! That is exactly what is frustrating me. Not an ounce of paper to be jammed! I replaced the damned printhead (to the tune of $50+) and now I have this ridiculous paper jam error. I only paid about $100 for this printer...well...now 150, plus all of the cartridges. I'm really frustrated that I can't clear the mystery jam...more preicsely, the damned MESSAGE. Seriously, HP. Help.

I have the HP Photosmart Plus B210e. The "e" evidently stands for "error"...just sayin'... :-(

Re: Printer Paper Jam

This thread was started in 2009. DOES ANYONE FROM HP BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE FORUM???

There has been no feed at all from any HP official source.

This paper jam error seems to be a common problem across al the HP priinter.

I am now on my third since I first posted in 2010!

Havhe continued to buy HP ONLY because I had already bought spare ink cartridges!

Re: Printer Paper Jam

Sorry for the egregious oversight. I searched HP on this HP SUPPORT FORUM, so the fact that a BROTHER printer came up is odd and it never occurred to me to vet the printer before listing my reply.

Naturally, a phantom paper jam error is frustrating, no matter what model or make printer you have. Thanks and again, sorry for the "BOTHER"...or is the "brother..."?

Re: Printer Paper Jam

Hey all,

Check out the response early in this thread.  The paper jam happens if a specific flag remains tripped for an extended period of time.  The opposite of this would be an Out of Paper message if the flag never gets tripped.  Look to see if a small plastic finger is jammed in the paper path just before the paper gets to the print zone.

Let me know if any of these are helpful, or if you have more info that might help me solve the problem.

regards, CF

Thanks for the reply, CF :-) Of course, in order to try this...my printer would have to still be on the desk, instead of under the front tire of my car. ;-) Kidding...but I came *thissclose* to plowing it over because I figured it might actually *help*...not the printer -- ME! Thanks for the time...I'll give this a shot...
