Printer won't print or shut off

My Deskjet 3050 printer won't print after going into hibernation and won't shut off after going into hibernation.  Unplugging and re-plugging the printer "works" but the problem shows up again the next time it goes into hibernation. 

 

The printer gave me Error Code 0X02A2C2ED (0s may be Os).

 

Everything works fine up until the printer hibernates.

 

I can't locate what the error code means, and I can't figure out what the problem is.  The printer is half a year old and is connected via USB cable to a new HP Pavilion PC.  The printer worked fine for the first few months, but now is a giving me this problem.

 

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi vanderlejm, 

 

Follow the steps to temporarily disable the power off feature. 

 

1. Press the wrench

2. Scroll down to Auto Power options, and then press ok

3. Scroll down to Disable, and then press ok

I have a deskjet 3050 and I can not turn it off I get and error code 0X02A2C2ED. I need someone to help me

turn my printer off.

Hi 10spro,

 

Reset the printer using the steps below, and then let me know if you continue to have issues?

 

Resetting the printer

  1. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 15 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  6. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

my printer won' t shut down.  Screen says shutting down but nothing happens

PCWizard's suggestion to pull the cord from the printer, then pull the cord from the wall worked for me, on my HP 7360 printer. Thank you!

Hi lovig,

 

Remove the power plug from the back of the printer, and then plug the printer back in. Make sure you have the power plugged directly into the wall outlet. Let me know if you still have other issues?
