Printhead Problems

My HP Officejet 6500 All in One Wireless quite suddenly is displaying the message that the Printhead is damaged or missing. I have removed the cartridges and cleaned the printhead carefully, and then reinserted it, but the displayed message is still there and nothing will print. Unfortunately, the printer just went out of warranty a few months ago. Any suggestions?

Print heads do not last. That is the unforunate consequence of the beast. Same thing with my Canon 8200.

Have you tried cleaning the printer carriage contacts?

 

Printhead Problem or Printhead appears to be Missing or Damaged
