My 7300 series is refusing to print. I get a printer error message with every try. I occasionally experienced this problem before, but with complete shut down, restart of printer, and restart of modem, I would be able to enable printing again. Now, no matter what I do, I cannot print.I tried hooking up a secondary printer , but get the same message: printer error; I troubleshoot, it tells me a document in the queue is preventing printing. However, before I start it indicates 0 docs in queue and ready. What else should I do?

Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model - is this the Officejet 7310 or some other model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?
Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.
