Problem printing envelopes

I have a HP Photosmart C6280 All in one Printer.  I am trying to print envelopes - it takes the envelope throught the feed, but there is nothing on the envelope - I get an error message saying that its the wrong size or set up.  I was using an envelope template - I put the size of the envelope into the custom size area - still nothing on the envelope.

Would appreciate  step by step  info on this if possible,  I have looked in the manual and followed the unstrux.

Which program are you using to print the envelope?

I am using Microsoft Workd Word Processor - envelopes template

I need to save the envelope data b4 printing with Word 2007. (using Vista)

Also I created a shortcut in the Printer preferences with the envelope size. (source=main, paper=plain)

Doe HP have support?????!!!!! I have the same problem for weeks and no solution!

The guided solutions is just a bogus thing!  The print software when I try to change the custom envelope size to 229X162 or 162x229 does not save the save button is not functional! (Office Microsoftword!)

I agree with the guided solutiion - I followed step by step - still cant print an envelope.

Can you try printing the envelope on letter size paper, I want to see it any data is printed?

I put regular size paper in - printed it and it printed out like the envelope should with the address and return address on it.

Ok, on which side of the regular paper did the address print, left or right? (return add on top)
