Hi to all,
I purchased an HP PSC 4788 AIO printer while in China. The print cartridges were 818. Now that all is moved back to the States, I learn there are no 818 cartridges here. When at my local BB store, I see the exact same printer on the shelf, and learned the print cartridges here are #60. I buy them. BUT, when I put them in my printer, it only reports they are 'not supported'. A little further investigations says I must have purchased my printer in another part of the world, and my printer must be re-set.
Any ideas to reset this printer so it can function normally here?
Thanks,
denniscrosson

You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work. HP's web page on the subject is here.
