While waiting for further information about your printer model and connection methods I will make a few general suggestions:
First take a look at the pritner as it is printing. If the carriage is making many many sweeps at reasonable speed bu thte paper is only moving very slowly out of the printer then the most likely case is an incorrect paper/quality setting. If photo paper is selected while printing to plain paper the print will take a long time (and not have best quality).
If the carriage makes a sweep and then pauses for 10 seconds or more before the next sweep then one of the cartrdiges has probably failed. If your printer allows removing a cartrdige and printing with only one cartridge try printing with only the black cartrdige and then only the color cartridge. If one of the cartridges gives the long delays at the end of wvery swath it will need to be replaced.
A long delay after the print job is sent but before printing starts would normally be caused by a configuration issue with the installation.

I have a 7410 I bought new for home use and barley use it. It was printing fine then it strted printing as a snail's pace.
I have unplugges & disconected it for a while and this did not do anything.
I bought & installed a new inl cartridge, did nto help.
Uninstalled software, rebooted and re-installed, still nothing.
Tried cleaning under but it was not dirty and did nothing.
So now printing 1 page of B &W every 10 - 15 minutes.
ANy suggestions?
