Wireless network, recognizes machine, pints as directed. Number of copies requested "1", but printer will print copies presumably until I run out of paper. I open the printer cue, print job is listed correctly. The print job will indicate "restarting" and will repeat print job, over and over. Can only stop by selecting print job and choosing "cancel". I have tried un-installling software, reinstalling software, and have downloaded and updated to latest version of HP solution center. Scan works beautifully. Copy from glass works beautifully. Thanks for any help.

The same problem was solved on a C309a this way:
As reported into another post, I found a solution for this problem that affects prints from c309a with both Window Vista and Windows 7 (not Windows XP!).
I disabled "bidirectional support" in Properties->Ports and no more extra copies from my c309a.
