What can I do to fix my printer?

I have a HP office jet 6110 All in one printer.

printer says that there is something wrong with the ink cartridge.purchasing new ones didn't work.

 

What is the next step short of taking it all apart?

 

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

The document here may help.  Are you using HP cartridges or reman/refill cartridges?  The latter have rather poor reliability, see here for a study.
